Waldner fume cupboards
Waldner standard bench-mounted fume cupboards provide a safe workspace for laboratory applications involving hazardous gases, vapours, aerosols or dust.

Tested in accordance with EN 14175, the fume cupboards are designed to help prevent contaminants generated inside the workspace from escaping into the laboratory air. They also protect users against chemical splashes and particles released from the workspace.

The fume cupboards can be configured according to the laboratory environment, the work processes and the chemicals used. Their design can be integrated with the laboratory furniture, service supply and ventilation system.

Safe and comfortable working conditions

• The airflow profile on the front edge of the worktop reduces turbulence, while the rear-panel low-level extraction removes heavier gases and solvent vapours directly above the work surface.
• Slender side posts, large glass panels and LED lighting provide an easily accessible and clearly visible workspace.
• The balanced sash can be operated with one hand and can optionally be equipped with automatic control.

Configurable for specific applications

• Stoneware, epoxy resin, polypropylene or stainless-steel worktops
• Electrical, water, gas and vacuum connections
• Integrated sink and attachment points for support rods
• Various storage and safety underbench cabinets
• Optional airflow and sash control

Conventional and Secuflow versions

Waldner fume cupboards with a standard working height are available in conventional and Secuflow versions. The supportive airflow of the Secuflow system maintains the required level of safety with a lower extract air volume, helping to reduce the energy demand of the laboratory ventilation system.

General-purpose fume cupboards are not suitable for work involving radioactive substances, microorganisms or open chemical digestion processes. These applications require a specially designed fume cupboard.

Waldner MobilAir mobile fume cupboard
The Waldner MobilAir mobile fume cupboard offers a flexible extraction solution for laboratory applications that do not require a large, permanently installed fume cupboard. The unit is available in both filtered recirculating-air and building-extraction-system versions.

The recirculating-air version operates with an integrated fan and a filter selected for the specific application, allowing it to be used at different workstations provided that a suitable electrical connection is available. The extract-air version connects to the laboratory’s central ventilation system.

Flexible and Convenient Operation

• Compact design that can be positioned as required
• Vertically moving front sash
• Transparent Plexiglas side panels
• Glare-free internal lighting that can be switched externally
• External electrical sockets
• Optional airflow monitoring

Filtration Selected for the Application

• Activated-carbon gas filter for organic gases, vapours and odours
• Combined activated-carbon and H13 HEPA filter for gases, vapours and particles
• H13 HEPA particle filter for dust and aerosols
• Alternative version for connection to the laboratory’s central extraction system

The appropriate filter must be selected according to the substances used, the contaminants generated and the work process.

The MobilAir must not be used for open chemical digestion processes and does not replace a permanently installed fume cupboard compliant with EN 14175. Before selecting the appropriate version and filter type, the substances used and the conditions of the application must always be assessed.

Fumex ME extraction arms
Fumex ME extraction arms have been developed for laboratories and other workplaces requiring precise local extraction. They capture gases, vapours and airborne particles close to their source, helping to reduce the release of contaminants into the working environment.

The extraction arms are flexible and easy to position, remain stable in the selected position and can be folded away from the work area when not in use. The special joint design of the Fumex ME provides a low pressure drop, contributing to an efficient and energy-saving extraction system.

Flexible design for different work areas

Fumex ME extraction arms are available in different lengths and with pipe diameters of 50, 75 and 100 mm. They can be mounted on ceilings, walls or workbenches, making them suitable for integration into both new and existing laboratory extraction systems.

The appropriate size and configuration can be selected according to the work process, the type of contaminant, the required airflow and the available workspace.

Different versions for specific working environments

Fumex ME extraction arms are available in several material and technical versions:

• STD version for most laboratory and light industrial applications
• PP version for extracting high concentrations of highly corrosive airborne contaminants
• ESD version for working environments where reducing risks associated with electrostatic discharge is important
• ATEX version for use in potentially explosive atmospheres

The available pipe diameters and accessories may vary between versions. The specific requirements of the application must therefore be considered when configuring the system.

Accessories for different extraction tasks

Different extraction hoods and suction nozzles can be fitted to the extraction arms. Selecting the appropriate design helps capture contaminants as close to the source as possible without obstructing the work process.

The range includes dome, flat screen, square and metal extraction hoods, as well as rigid and flexible suction nozzles. The extraction arms can also be combined with different mounting accessories, control options and work lighting.

Fumex ME extraction arms can be used in a range of environments, including:

• laboratories and educational institutions
